We have a different theme every year centering the ocean, this year's theme being Climate Hope: Transforming Crisis. We invite you to learn about the climate crisis and its impact on oceans; discover or imagine solutions at local, national, or global scales; and create work that explores hope in action. Submissions are accepted in Visual art (includes all mediums, even fashion/jewelry designing), Film, Music, Poetry, Prose (includes journalism, non-fiction, and fiction - even scripts) & Interactive and Multimedia. Each of these are different categories, and see what options you may have within them here. There is a Junior Division (11-14) and a Senior Division (15-18) within these categories, and cash prizes of up to $1,500 available - even honourable mentions get at least $100. There is no entry fee.
