Falun Gong Poetry Competition

Falun Gong has been taken up throughout the world, and especially in China, as a form of finding mindfulness and improving physical health and wisdom. However, the communist government of China has been persecuting people that practice it since 1999 through physical torture, when there were 100 million practitioners in China. This is an outright violation of the human right to freedom of thought and belief, so our organisation hopes to spread more awareness of this tragedy that is going on, but the message is so hard to spread since the Chinese government censor a lot of the media. You can help by becoming aware of the current issue (read more about the persecution in the additional link at the bottom of this page) and submitting up to 2 poems of no more than 50 lines each, focused on the advocating for the practitioners' fundamental rights, exposing the crimes against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party, or expressing why people should support Falun Gong's rights. No age limit, but indicate your age in the submission so that you can be considered in the Youth category. Prizes: 1st place wins $100, 2nd place wins $50, and honourable mentions are announced too. NO submission fee.
